इंग्लैंड के विश्व कप विजेता फुटबॉल खिलाड़ी और आयरलैंड के पूर्व कोच जैक चार्लटन (85) का शुक्रवार को निधन हो गया। वह इंग्लैंड के नॉर्थम्बरलैंड स्थित घर में रह रहे थे। उनके निधन की पुष्टि परिवार ने की। फैमिली की ओर से बयान में कहा गया, ‘हम व्यक्त नहीं कर सकते कि उनके असाधारण जीवन के लिए कितने गर्वित हैं। वह एक ईमानदार, दयालु, मजाकिया और सच्चे इंसान थे।’ 1966 में इंग्लैंड को विश्व विजेता बनाने वाले इस खिलाड़ी के निधन से फुटबॉल वर्ल्ड शोक मे डूबा हुआ है। दिग्गजों ने उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी है।
